The return of the legends – the brave townsmen Andris, Peter and Ermanis, known as the Devil’s servants, will once again save the keys of Riga, preventing the town lords from giving them to the King of Sweden, while their brides Ruth, Anna and Lena will not only pray for their loved ones, but will stand by them to protect their city against the enemy.
To celebrate the 90th anniversary of Rutku Tēva’s legendary novel and the 55th anniversary of The Devil’s Servants, The Devil’s Servants returns to audiences in the summer of 2024, with a libretto by Jānis Anerauds, co-writer of The Devil’s Servants and The Devil’s Servants at Devil’s Mill, and music by Raimonds Pauls.
