Latvian theatre’s singing artists “There is one more free seat on the deer”

Spectacular musical event gathering singing artists of the Latvian theatres “There is one more free seat on the deer” will be performed all over Latvia!

Thanks to the great response by the audience following the event performed by the singing artists “There is one more free seat on the dear” after two performances in the crowded hall of VET Culture Palace, to satisfy the demand, this summer the performance will be staged at open air venues in several cities in Latvia. On the 3rd June the singing actors will be performing at the restored concert garden “Pūt, vējiņi” in Liepāja, on the 22nd July – in Jelgava, at the open air concert venue ”Mītava”, on the 4th August – at Ikšķile open air venue and the tour will be concluded by the concert in Dzintari concert hall on the 28th August.

The artists, who will take part in the musical gathering, are the Latvian National Theater actors Dita Lūriņa, Mārcis Maņjakovs, Egils Melbārdis, Gundars Grasbergs and Ainārs Ančevskis, actress, composer and singer Zane Dombrovska, Liepāja theater actress Karīna Tatarinova, as well as actor Andris Bērziņš . The special guest of the concert on August 28 will be the actress of the Latvian National Theater Marija Bērziņa.

“At the concerts we will perform songs from theatre performances where we have participated: “Es mīlu, Tu zini” (I love and you know), “Ja Tu man esi” (If only you are there for me” and “Ir visuma puteklis cilvēks” (There is the global dust called a man) from the musical drama “Adata” (Needle) by Zigmars Liepiņš, “Lauras dziesma” (Lauras’ song), “Druē dziesma” (Drew’s song), “Ubagu dziesma” (Beggers’ song), as well as the duet of Carrie and Herstwood from the musical “Sister Carrie” by Raimonds Pauls, the song by Fink “Nē, manis nav” (No, I am no longer there) from the rock opera “Sphynx” by Jānis Lūsēns and many other songs well known to people,” the actress Dita Lūriņa, who is also the director of this concert program, says and adds: “As most of performers at the concert are not only colleagues at theatres, but also former coursemates, we will not be able to resist and will sing the songs keeping us together since our study times. Such friendly gatherings provoke predicted and unpredicted duets, brave trios and many other combinations to make the event exciting and filled for us on the stage and the audience! Of course, the audience is encouraged to join us in singing!» 

The music at the events will be provided by the group “Armaestro” led by Anatolijs Livča: Miķelis Vīte (drums), Viktors Veļičko (contrabass), Artūrs Kutepovs (guitar) and Anatolijs Livča (keyboard).
