On August 17, in the Dzintari Concert Hall, as part of a new significant event for the Baltic countries and all of Europe – the Baltic Awards, the final concert “GALA GALANTE AND THE THREE TENORS” will take place. The unique musical program “Una fiesta de la musica” will feature three world-famous tenors – Edgaras Montvydas (Lithuania), Dmytro Popov (Ukraine) and Raimonds Bramanis (Latvia). Listeners will be treated to a brilliant performance of the legendary repertoire of the “three tenors”, including arias from the famous operas “Aida”, “Nabucco”, “Tosca”, “Carmen” and “La Traviata. In addition, popular Italian songs, as well as beautiful Neapolitan melodies, will be performed from the stage, which will transport everyone present to the atmosphere of fabulous Italy. This incomparable selection of musical works will captivate every listener in the hall and will be a real gift for all admirers of beautiful music. The special guest of the evening is the owner of a soulful, velvety soprano, opera diva Inessa Galante, other musical surprises are expected as well. “Una fiesta de la musica” will be an unforgettable musical celebration, which will take place in the unique atmosphere of the legendary “GALA GALANTE” concerts in the context of a new significant event – the Baltic Awards.

“Baltic Awards” is a new project of the “Inessa Galante Foundation” in cooperation with public and educational institutions, professional associations and diplomatic missions of the three Baltic countries – Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. The award will be presented to outstanding figures of the Baltic countries for their contribution to the development of art, science and architecture, highlighting the importance of the region in the European context.

The winners are determined by the Award’s expert committee, which already includes: ex-President of Latvia, politician, public figure Vaira Vike-Freiberga, ex-President of Latvia, politician Valdis Zatlers, ex-President of Estonia, politician Toomas Hendrik Ilves, President of the Latvian Academy of Sciences Ivar Kalvins, President of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences Juras Banys, world-famous Latvian composer Peteris Vasks, Latvian singer, author of music and lyrics, producer Janis Shipkevic, Secretary General of the expert committee, a leading partner of Rödl & Partner in the Baltics and Northern Europe Jens-Christian Pastille, and some other significant representatives of the public, cultural and business sectors of the Baltic countries. The chairman of the committee and founder of the foundation is opera diva Inessa Galante.

The award will become a bright, large-scale and significant international event, which will be held annually in Riga and Jurmala, in the Dzintari concert hall for several days. The first Baltic Awards events will take place this summer, from August 15 to 17.
