Due to the great interest of the audience, “A tribute show to ABBA” this summer it will also be seen in the Dzintari Concert Hall.
After the completely sold-out “A tribute show to ABBA” concert held in the middle of March at the VEF Culture Palace, which was received by the audience with a standing ovation and already at the first songs they indulged in stormy dances, the organizers of the event have decided to hold an additional concert of the show, which will take place on August 30 at 8 p.m. in the Dzintari concert hall.
Also in this one and a half hour long concert, all the most popular hits of the group «ABBA» will be played: «Dancing Queen» «Mamma Mia», «Does Your Mother Know», «Take A Chance», «S.O.S.», «The Winner Takes It All», « Super Trouper», «Money Money Money», «Waterloo», «Honey Honey», «Fernando», «Chiquitita», «Thank You For The Music», «Knowing Me Knowing You», «Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!’
In over twenty years of activity, ABBORN has become one of the most successful ABBA impersonators in Europe, playing more than five thousand concerts to over two million audiences, earning the respect of fans and critics alike. In the fall of 2009, the group won the award “Best ABBA imitation group” on the French television program FT1, whose audience was more than 70 million viewers.
A quartet of singers – two ladies and two gentlemen – make music in the band (as in the original “ABBA”), and the sound of the quartet is complemented by an excellent backing line-up, allowing to play music “live” without any background recordings. In addition, the performance is complemented by excellent vocal performances, perfect choreography and authentic stage costumes, together creating a truly magnificent show.
This “tribute” group (it should be emphasized that it has received the original group’s official permission to imitate them!) has been able to repeat the magic of ABBA’s concerts both in Europe – in Spain, the Canary Islands, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Estonia, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Slovenia, France, in Portugal, etc. – and elsewhere in the world, creating a special atmosphere at concerts and taking you on a wonderful journey to yesterday, allowing you to feel the atmosphere of the concerts of Sweden’s greatest legends. It is interesting that ABBORN, as the only ABBA imitation group from Europe, was invited to the prestigious international festival RETROBEST 2016, which took place in Estonia and where they performed on the same stage together with «Boney M», DJ Bobo, Jason Donovan, «Ace of Bace», Thomas Anders and “Modern Talking”. Also, ABBORN has successfully performed in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Singapore.
