“FIESTA de MARIA”. Musical show in fiery sunny Latino rhythms. This celebration will be like a small Brazilian festival, meshing together Cuban and Mexican dance rhythms, Argentinean passion and Bossa Nova, so dear to Marija.
A team of wonderful musicians will be on stage, as well as guests from various countries blessed with the warmth of the Sun, such as France, Brazil, Chile, etc.
The arrangements of the musical material will be made by a truly fantastic musician, guitar virtuoso, composer from Paris, as well as a friend of Marija and Latvian musicians – Sebastien Giniaux, who will collaborate in this project in tandem with Joris Visquesnel.
The program will feature well-known and long-unheard songs from Marija’s many years of albums, concert repertoire and performances in a completely different sound. Songs by maestro Raimonds Pauls, Niks Matvejevs, Ivars Musta with delightful lyrics by Janis Peters, Imants Ziedonis, Guntars Račs, Valdis Atāls, Ojars Kalniņš, Marats Samauskis and other authors. Maria’s own specially created songs for the stage of the International Song Contest “Eurovision” will also be included – “I wanna”, “Hey boy follow me” and many other melodies that are dear not only to the singer, but also to her listeners and viewers.
Although the show promises to be quite retrospective, surely, also brand-new songs will be played, created especially for these anniversary concerts, as well as some world hits, the sound of which makes it impossible to sit still as all you want is to dance.
These festivities are unimaginable without magnificent costumes, dances, unexpected guests and pleasant surprises.
Life, no matter how complex the script is written, is like champagne – sparkling, unforgettable and unique!
