Legendary British Band “Smokie” to Perform at Dzintari Concert Hall on July 11
On July 11, Dzintari Concert Hall will host one of the most legendary, successful, and beloved British rock bands, “Smokie”. The group, soon to celebrate its 60th anniversary, has released 26 albums, over 30 singles, and sold more than 30 million album copies worldwide. Additionally, they have earned multiple gold and platinum certifications.
Many of “Smokie’s” songs have long become true classics, resonating with at least three generations of listeners. Hits like “Don’t Play Your Rock ‘N’ Roll To Me,” “I Can’t Stay Here Tonight,” “If You Think You Know How to Love Me,” “Needless and Pins,” “For a Few Dollars More,” “Mexican Girl,” “I’ll Meet You at Midnight,” “Oh Carol,” “What Can I Do”, and the party anthem “Living Next Door to Alice” are timeless favorites.
The current lineup of “Smokie” includes five members: Steve Pinnell (drums), Mick McConnell (guitar), Pete Lincoln (vocals), Martin Bullard (keyboards), and Luke Bullard (bass guitar).
