Jūrmala Art School Exhibition “Winter Symphony”

Opening hours: The exhibition is available for concert attendees 1 hour before the concert, during intermissions, and after the concert.

Dzintari Concert Hall, in collaboration with Jūrmala Art School, invites you to the exhibition “Winter Symphony” featuring works by the school’s students in the Chamber Hall.

Winter Symphony captures moments of nature expressed in colors, much like music reveals them in a symphony. Visual art and the world of sound share many parallels—both adhere to a unified composition of rhythm, contrasts, and tonal vibrations.

The exhibition showcases works that reveal the colorful magic of winter, blooming like frost flowers in various shades. The paintings are as diverse as the personalities of their creators and the ever-changing moods of winter. These works are inspired by both thought and emotion, drawn from the natural world. The exhibition features acrylic paintings, where complex mental constructions weave surreal frameworks for a winter fairytale—a symphony. Meanwhile, subtle feelings are expressed through an intuitive play of colors on canvas. If dreams could manifest in the material world, they would come alive in these works of art, where the joy of young artists creates unique patterns, forms, and impressions.

The exhibition highlights works by senior students created during a masterclass led by painter Kristīne Kutepova.

We extend our gratitude to Dzintari Concert Hall for providing the opportunity to exhibit the works of our students. Special thanks to all who contributed to making this exhibition possible—Jūrmala Art School students and teachers.
