Danish composer and saxophone virtuoso Lars Møller will perform for the first time with the Latvian Radio Big Band at the Dzintari Concert Hall.

Lars Møller is undoubtedly one of the most prominent Scandinavian jazz musicians, equally active soloist and composer, particularly known for his extended orchestrations. He began his musical career in New York. Later, he became fascinated with exploring different cultures, especially captivated by Indian music, spending a period in New Delhi.

The concert program will include excerpts from Lars Møller’s most ambitious work, “ReWrite of Spring,” which incorporates modern big band sound into Igor Stravinsky’s compositional ideas. Alongside this, the audience will hear pieces that blend influences from various cultures, as well as some of the most striking works from different periods of the composer’s career.
