Legendary Rock Musician Andrey Makarevich and Celtic Harp Virtuoso Philipp Barsky Present a New Collaborative Program
A fusion of classic and innovation, their joint program breathes fresh life into beloved and well-known songs, while also featuring entirely new compositions created specifically for this project. The unique blend of Russian rock and Celtic motifs promises an extraordinary and unforgettable atmosphere that will captivate every listener.
“I’m not a musician who paints—I’m an artist who makes music,” says Andrey Makarevich.
This concert offers a rare opportunity to rediscover familiar lyrics and melodies in an entirely new and unexpected light, unveiling deeper meanings and nuances. The musical synergy between these two cultures invites audiences to explore Makarevich’s artistry from a completely different perspective.
Their first joint performance took place in February 2025 at one of London’s finest concert venues, The Clapham Grand.
This summer, Andrey Makarevich and Philipp Barsky look forward to welcoming you to Jurmala. The concert will take place on July 29 at the Dzintari Concert Hall.
